DATA PROTECTION

All information passed to Over The Scottish Hill by you will be treated as confidential, however, as part of our safety management system, it is important that your booking form is passed onto a designated person or persons representing Over The Scottish Hill so that in the event of an emergency, a line of communication may be established to you/and or your emergency contact. This information will not be passed onto any third parties, except if necessary, to the emergency services.

WHAT PERSONAL DATA DO WE COLLECT?

Contact via email or telephone. If you contact us by email, we will have a record of your email address and the contents. If contact is by telephone, we may take a note of your name and any other details that might be relevant to the call. If you engage us for the services we provide; Group Walks/Course or Bespoke Guiding, we will ask you to complete a booking form which includes personal contact information. We will also ask you to complete a Medical declaration form which will include medical details and emergency contact details. This may be held in electronic and/or paper format. This will also request next of kin details should we need to contact them in an emergency. You must inform us if you wish this information to be permanently deleted after your booking has ended.

SHARING OF INFORMATION

Over The Scottish Hill does not collect personal information for sale to third parties for marketing purposes.

PAYMENTS

If you engage us for the services we provide; Group Walks/Courses or Bespoke Guiding, we will send you an invoice by email with your name and address and our bank/payment details. We accept payment by Bank Transfer (BACS). No further payment information or bank details are held by us.

COOKIES AND SQUARESPACE ANALYTICS

We use a minimal number of cookies. Upon your first visit to the website you will see a pop-up requesting your permission to accept cookies. If you agree, the cookie file is added and the cookie helps analyse web traffic. You can block cookies by activating the setting on your browser that allows you to refuse the setting of all or some cookies. If you decide to email us, it would be helpful if you could use the term ‘Subject Access Request’ in the subject line of the email. On receipt of the SAR, we will respond as quickly as possible and, if not included with the request, we may ask for more information to enable us to reasonably check the identity of the person making the SAR. Once the identity has been confirmed, we will then fulfil the SAR within 30 days
